Our story
An independent studio on Metropolitan Avenue
Heat Lab Fitness is a neighbourhood studio in Williamsburg, founded and run by Michelle Loforte. One heated room, six formats, and a standing invitation to find out what you are actually capable of.

Why we opened
Built for people who push limits
Brooklyn is full of places to work out and short on places that ask something of you. Heat Lab was built for the second kind of person: the one who wants the room to be hard, the coaching to be honest, and the hour to count.
That means Pilates that builds control instead of just burning, strength classes that follow a real programme, and recovery sessions treated as training rather than an afterthought. The heat ties it together.
How we train
What we hold ourselves to
The heat is the point
Every class runs warm on purpose. Muscles loosen faster, joints move further, and the work you put in reaches deeper than it would in a cold room.
Small rooms, real coaching
Classes stay small enough that an instructor can correct your form by name instead of shouting cues at a crowd.
No hierarchy on the mat
First-timers and regulars train side by side. Options are given for every movement, and taking the easier one is never treated as a failure.

The heat doesn't lie.
